Charting the Path Forward for Nature and People: The ISC Technical Meeting at SBSTTA25

In the bustling city of Nairobi, amid the discussions and debates of SBSTTA25, a crucial meeting took place in the margins. The 14 members of the International Steering Committee (ISC) gathered on October 14th to lay the groundwork for the 2024 work plan and budget and validate potential partners of the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People (HAC for N&P).
At the technical meeting in Nairobi, the ISC members were hard at work, deliberating and strategizing the details of the coalition’s 2024 work plan. This plan will be instrumental in achieving the HAC for N&P’s objectives and furthering the 30×30 goal and setting stage for a successful 2024, with a clear work plan, robust partnerships, and a solid budget. With the 30×30 Ministerial for Nature Day at COP28 on the horizon, the world eagerly anticipates the coalition’s continued efforts to protect and preserve the natural world for current and future generations.
